Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York, teens will hold Rhythm of the Heart Talent Show on Friday, January 9, 2009 from 7 – 10pm at the Bethlehem Central High School. The competition will include acts in music, dance and other related routines. It will cost $10 per group to register. All proceeds will go to the Center for Disability Services.
How can you register? Any student who attend the Bethlehem School District from grades 6-12 and/or resides in the Town of Bethlehem can participate in the show.
Rhythm of the Heart Talent Show is being held by Samantha VanSchaick and Sarah Hospodar to complete their Girl Scout Silver Award Project, a national honors award for outstanding community service. This community service project will benefit the Center for Disability Services.
The Center for Disability Services is a health care agency that offers services to individuals with disabilities. The Center provides services to more than 15,000 individuals -newborns to seniors - and their families at 85 locations throughout 9 counties in Upstate New York. As a vital community resource, they reach out to individuals, families and caregivers from all over upstate New York - and 26 additional states - offering care that, in many cases, can be found nowhere else. The Center is committed to the well-being of the people they serve, while providing opportunities that lead to independent lifestyles.
Winner of the talent show will appear live on the Center for Disability Services Annual Telethon held on Sunday, January 25th, 12 – 7pm at the Holiday Inn, Albany.
